Tamayo and his ex-wife
Tamayo and Tulsi had decided to get married in 2002 but some say that they had a small wedding before the Justice of the Peace. At that time Tulsi was just 21 years old and she also expressed her opinion regarding her first wedding by saying that she was more into martial arts than Barbie dolls, so it never crossed her mind to think about what kind of wedding she wanted to have.
Both of them have known each other since childhood and they had a special relationship. They began dating at an early age. She also confirmed that both of them have been childhood sweethearts in 2013 while talking to Vogue. Tulsi also said that they used to surf together and his family was like her family. But unfortunately, even though they knew each other since childhood they decided to end their relationship after four years.
So, let’s get to know why they decided to end their relationship even though they knew each other for such a long time.
Why did they split?
During their split, Tulsi was serving overseas and that had caused a lot of stress in their relationship. Their relationship wasn’t working and to add fuel to the fire the United States Army Reserve officer’s long deployment to Iraq was too much for her first marriage.
Tulsi made a choice when the United States invaded Iraq in the spring of 2003 that dismayed her political advisers. Despite the fact that her brigade had gone to Iraq in 2004 and had left off her name from the deployment list, she joined the Hawaii Army National Guard.
The wartime obviously changed her life and it cost her marriage to Tamayo. She has spoken up about the war and her marital relationship and she said, “It was sad and difficult, but unfortunately, not an uncommon story for people who go through being separated for nearly two years. The stress that’s placed on those who are left at home—it’s difficult to communicate what that means.”
They are officially divorced
Tulsi told her community in an online personal note that she has ended her relationship with Tamayo after she returned from an 18-month-long deployment in Iraq. She served two tours of combat duty with the 29th Brigade and this deployment was very hard for her husband.
The note that she published online reads, “Sadly, Eddie and I became another statistic, another sad story, illustrating the stresses war places on military spouses and families”.
Their divorce was finalized on 5th June 2006. They don’t have a child and they remain a close friend at the present.
Tulsi returned to her maiden name
Even though they got divorced in 2006, Tulsi continued to use Tamayo’s name for many years until 2011. She made an announcement in 2011 that she would be using her maiden name. Lot’s op people in the political circles knew her by her married name so she decided to make a personal note about it online when she returned to her maiden name.
The note that she published online reads, “I had kept the Tamayo name in the hopes that we might still have a future together. However, recently I’ve come to fully realize that that’s not going to happen. Eddie and I are still friends, and I’m grateful the Tamayo family continues to welcome me as one of their own.”
She even offered to personally pay for any costs the City Council would have in reprinting vouchers or business cards with her maiden name, ending the announcement.
His ex-wife has moved on
Tulsi has already moved on and now she is already enjoying her married life with cinematographer Abraham Williams. The two got engaged in February 2015 and they decided to tie the knot in a Vedic-style wedding on 9th April 2015 in Oahu, Hawaii.
Their wedding took place outdoors and it was a spiritual wedding where Tulsi wore a Laca-style Indian wedding dress.
Eduardo’s current status
Eduardo has remained out of the spotlight during his marriage to the ex-endorser of Bernie Sanders and to this day he lives quite a secretive life. He is not available on any social media platforms as well so it is difficult to know about his personal life.
We don’t know if he has found someone after the separation from his partner. Similarly, we can’t find any significant clues about his career. His career is mentioned only once in an old article by Honolulu Advertiser in 2004 which shows that he is self-employed. So, his life remains a mystery to this day.
