She grew up in Toronto and completed her secondary education at the city’s all-girls institution Notre Dame High School (NDHS). Soon, the couple decided to walk down the aisle on 28th April 1979. The two had a happy married life for around one and a half-decade before fate parted them away.

Unfortunately, John Candy died on 4th March 1994 in Durango, Mexico. He was shooting Wagons East for Carcolco Pictures at the time when he was found dead shortly after midnight on the 4th of March.

Durango government spokeswoman confirmed that  John had died of a heart attack even though an autopsy was not performed. He died at the age of 43. A Carolco publicist made a statement that reads,

“We are all very saddened by the death of this very fine and talented man. John Candy was a marvelous entertainer, a wonderful human being, and one of the most respected actors in the motion picture and TV industry. For this to happen at the end of the shoot of ‘Wagons East’ makes it particularly personal for all of us.”

John Candy was born on 31st October 1950 in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada. He is the son of Sidney James Candy and his wife Evangeline Candy (née Aker). John had lost his father when he was only 5 years old. His father was just 35 years old when he died.

They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Jennifer Candy on 3rd February 1980 in Toronto, Canada. After four years, they also welcomed their second child, a son named Christopher Candy on 23rd September 1984.

Surprisingly, both of the children have followed in their father’s footsteps. Their eldest daughter, Jennifer is an actor and producer who is famous for her works on Liv and Maddie (2013), Where’s This Party? (2014), and  In Vino (2017).
