Nancy Mace is an American politician, author, and businesswoman. She was born on December 4, 1977, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, United States. Her father James Emory Mace was a United States Army officer and her mother Anne Mace was a school teacher.
As a member of The Citadel’s Corps of Cadets, she became the first woman to graduate from the program in 1999 graduating with a degree in business administration. Later she went to the University of Georgia to get a degree in journalism and mass communication and she started her consulting business naming it The Mace Group in 2008.
In an announcement made on August 3, 2013, Mace announced that she would run for the Republican Party nomination for U.S. Senate in South Carolina in the 2014 election. 19.560 ballots were cast in her primary, giving her only 6.2%. After losing a humbling election to a rival in District 99, she won a special election to become the district’s legislator. Against Democrat Jen Gibson, she won reelection one year later.
This piece of article will totally focus on the personal life of Nancy and her romantic life, is she married? No, she is not married but is she dating someone? if you seek the answer then keep reading and you will find the answer.
Ex-Husband Curtis Jackson
First of all, let’s make this clear that Nancy’s ex-husband is not an American rapper 50 Cent. Few people get confused with 50 Cent and Nancy’s former husband as they both have the same name.
Nancy married a technology officer Curtis Jackson in the year 2004. As there is not much information available regarding Nancy’s former husband we can’t give you much information about him but it seems that he is currently working as a Chief Technology Officer at Obie and he owns a software consulting company called Jackson Technologies as per his LinkedIn profile.
They were married for more than ten years but in 2019 they decided to split up and later they filed for divorce. The reason for their divorce is not known. Nancy and Curtis share two children.
Nancy is raising two children
As mentioned above Nancy and Curtis share two children named Miles and Ellison. After their divorce, Nancy alone is raising her children and she even used to post their pictures often on her social media accounts but now she has reduced posting their pictures as she has risen through the political ranks. We don’t know why she’s chosen this approach, but we suspect she’s trying to protect them from the cruel and unforgiving side of politics.
On her website, Nancy wrote a scathing and honest article attacking her political opponents for attacking her credibility with personal attacks. “Leftists, who are digging for dirt all the way back to my teenage years, seem willing to stoop to any level to hurt me and my family,” she wrote in the article. As she criticized her opponents she also admitted that she is not perfect Instead, she exposed her imperfections and criticized those attempting to tarnish her reputation by writing:
“I wasn’t the ideal wife. Keep this from my kids, but I’m not a great mother. Every day I strive to do my best, but even on my best days, I don’t succeed. And whoever tells you otherwise is lying.”
Rape Inspired Her to join Military College
Nancy opened up in the middle of 2019 saying that she had been raped when she was in her teenage on the statehouse floor. Her confession came in the wake of a House bill that would have added exceptions in fetal heartbeat abortion bans for rapes and incests.
Nancy was only 14 when she was first assaulted sexually and instead of blaming the attacker, she blamed herself. And a few years later two of her friends assaulted her about which she told both her mom and best friend but she did not report it to the police as she feared what people would think of her after knowing that she has been raped.
It seems that she does not have good experience in her high school as she dropped out of her high school when she was 17 and joined the community college.
“My parents knew and loved me as a strong, resilient girl when I was a little girl, but I was not, I was a completely different person. Throughout the most difficult time of my life, I was unsure of how I would get through it.” She said on The Post and Courier.
There was an announcement by The Citadel stating that they would be taking in women recruits, upon knowing about the announcement Nancy saw the opportunity or chance to find strength. As a result, she became the first woman to graduate from the Corps of Cadets at The Citadel in 1999. As she talked in The Post and Courier she said that the military school, known for its toughness, changed her life.
“It is difficult for women who are strong, like me, to deal with something like this. Often, we blame ourselves for our problems. Suddenly, a traumatic event happens to you and you ask yourself, ‘How could I let this happen to me? Overcoming it is really difficult. However, as women, Republicans, and as legislators, it is incumbent upon us to share and listen to the stories of victims.” She said in The Post and Courier.
Is Nancy Dating Someone?
There is no information if she is dating someone or not but most probably she is not dating anyone as she is very busy with her work and raising two children is a tough job in itself. And even if she dates someone now she would most probably keep it secret as she would not want her opponents to throw some dirt on her romance as well.
Is She Active on Social Media?
Nancy is pretty active on various social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn and has a huge number of followers as well. On Twitter, she has 69.5k followers, on Instagram she has 17.9k followers, on Facebook she has 56,255 likes, and on LinkedIn, she has more than 500 connections.
