It is an age-old question that has been asked since last night’s interview with David Muir. Is he married? Where is his wife or child to be seen? What does he do in his free time? We’ll find out the answer to these questions and more as we take a look at the life of this famous journalist.

At the time of publishing this blog post on November 23rd, 2017 David Muir is not married. He was previously engaged to girlfriend Andrea Quijano in 2013 but they split up in 2014. It’s unclear why their engagement ended though it could have been due to a conflict of interest when he started working for ABC News as a co-anchor following his stint with ESPN where he covered sports news at SportsCenter from 2003 until 2008.
David has never publicly spoken about being gay or bi-sexual so there’s no way to know if that is true or not – but even still it wouldn’t be anyone else’s business what sexual orientation he is anyway.
His most recent relationship before breaking off is with his producer, Sam Champion. They have a daughter together named Valentina. Before that, he was married to fellow journalist Amy Robach for three years before they split in 2008.
He is currently single and not yet engaged again. Muir has never been without controversy, from the time when he got caught up in a love triangle on Live With Kelly & Michael between him, cohost Lara Spencer and guest Colbie Caillat, to the time he was fired from his first job at WCAU in Philadelphia.
In 2012, Muir participated as a contestant on Season 16 of Dancing with the Stars (DWTS). He is currently single and not yet engaged again.
Relationship with ABC reporter Gio Benitez
It was around 2015 at that time when there was a rumor everywhere about his and Gio Benitez’s relationship.
The main cause of the rumor was that both of them were seen on photos many times on their social media, but this rumor was ended when Benitez got married to her boyfriend.
Kate Dries and Muir Was in Relationship
In one article that was published in 2015, on the news site Jezebel, she wrote,
“David and I associated directly from the beginning. ‘I thought Peter Jennings was the James Bond of the evening news,’ he advised me on our first date. I attempted to resist the urge to panic since (much to his dismay) Peter was my first love and I would not like to cause David to feel awkward. However, Peter would rapidly be pushed a long way from my brain during my romance with David. That is to say, will you see this man?”
