He was just 10 years old when he played a small boy role named Kevin McCallister on Home Alone. Macaulay Culkin role was absolutely amazing and very fun. Home Alone (1990) was his debut movie as a lead actor.

Macaulay Culkin was born in 1980 and his birth place was New York. His father name is Christopher Cornelius Culkin in short Kit Culkin and he was also an American actor. And his mother name is Patricia Brentrup.
When Macaulay was a child he attended on a catholic school with his six siblings before they started to read in Professional Children’s School.
Culkin has been on screen from the age of 4. And he first played in a theater production, in New York Philharmonic.
In the 1980s he played on many television shows as well as in movies, but all role were minor and not a lead role. Some the movies he played before turning age of 10 is “Rocket Gibraltar” and “The Equalizer”.

While playing a role in a movie named “Uncle Buck” which was released in 1989. The movie did really well and the director Chris Columbus of Home Alone recognized his talent on the movie.
The movie Home Alone is based on a incident that happened in one family. Eight years old Kevin was left in his home accidently, when his whole family left the USA for visiting France.
But as soon as the parents realize that they left their son on home, they attempt to return back but sadly they were already on Paris.
With being alone in home first the kid was happy but as soon as he realize that some thieves wants to enter his house than all the interesting story starts.
The writer of this move John Hughes explained how he got the idea of his movie in Time interview,
Where He said, “I was going on a vacation, and before going a vacation I was making a list of stuffs, that I don’t want to forget on home. But at the same time I thought, I would better not forget my kids on home. But at the same time I thought, What will happen if I forget my 10-years-old son at home?”
This movie was produced by 20th Century Fox and it’s budget was around $15 Million, but surprisingly it made more than $470 million on box office. And became the highest grossing comedy movie of that time.
Anyway, Culkin was only paid about $110,000 for his role on this best comedy action movie. This movie also won two Golden Globe Award and also get nominated for an Academy Award.
From this movie he also won Young Artist Award for his best leading young actor role for the move.
Since, the movie was great hit that the 20th century fox offered him a $4.5 Million to work with studio for the Home Alone next sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
This movie was also a commercial hit, where the movie earned more than $350 million worldwide and the budget of this movie was around $20 million only.
And again later the studio released another series of Home Alone 3, which did not do as best as it used to do in box office. Since, there were no original cast on Home Alone 3.
