If you’re into hip-hop even a bit then you must have heard the name ‘Notorious B.I.G.’ who is one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time. He was married to an American singer Faith Evans however, we are not here to talk about Big Poppa or Faith Evans.
In this piece, we will be looking into the life of Todd Russaw, Faith Evans’ ex-husband. For how long were they in a relationship? what does Todd do? find out everything you need to know about him.
The early life of Todd Russaw
Todd was born on August 4 however we don’t know what year he was born but we guess it was around the late 1960s or early 1970s.
Other than that we only know that Todd joined Glendale Community College in 1986 and graduated in 1988 with an Associate of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies.
Todd used to be a music producer
Todd is a pretty successful guy, he used to be a producer, in fact, he knew Missy Elliott (who introduced him to Faith) because, during his time at Motown Records, he had worked with her.
He then worked in Pedigree MGI in 1997 as an executive producer where he worked for 14 years. After his divorce in 2011, he left the label. However, during his time there, he worked and handled many artists including his own wife Faith Evans.
He has changed his line of work to health and wellness and is linked with Think BiG Holdings INC since 2018, he also happens to be the founding partner of this INC.
Before this Todd was pretty active in the music industry as he was the director of the A&R department of Motown Records. He worked there from 1993 to 1997 after that he created his own independent record label named Prolific /E1 Music. He was also part of one of the prominent records, Bad Boy Records.
Todd and Faith married in 1997
According to the sources, in 1994 Missy Elliott, both Todd and Faith’s mutual friend introduced them to each other. At the time Faith was married to Biggie but eight months after his brutal murder, Todd and Faith got married on November 11, 1997.
They stayed together for more than a decade however, for an unknown reason the couple decided to get a divorce after thinking about it carefully and their divorce was finalized on May 17, 2011.
Todd shares two children with Faith
A few months after their marriage, on June 8, 1998, Faith gave birth to their first son Joshua Jahad Russaw, similarly, nine years after Joshua’s birth Faith gave birth to their second son Ryder Evan Russaw on March 22, 2007.
We can say that even after the divorce, Todd and Faith are on good terms as they decided to share the custody of their children and worked together to raise their children.
Todd also has a daughter named Tatum however, there is no information available on who her mother is. It seems that she was born on December 14, as on the same date in 2020 he shared a picture of her on his Instagram and wished her a happy birthday.
Todd’s youngest son is suffering from autism
Yes, as mentioned his youngest son Ryder is suffering from autism but the good thing is both of his parents are on good terms and they are working together to care for their son.
We can barely even imagine how it’s to live with autism however, Ryder is very brave and is fighting against it. His parents are also helping him fight against it and they are even taking him to get professional help. It seems that Faith has a hope that her son can become more proficient at handling the disorder.
Todd remains single after divorce
Clearly, we don’t have much information about him but it seems that he has remained single after separating from his ex-wife Faith Evans. He has not been spotted with any woman so we have come to the conclusion that Todd is currently enjoying his single life.
On the other hand, Faith got married on July 17, 2018, to an American record producer Stevie J but their marriage did not last long as they were divorced in September 2021.
Todd is active on Instagram
Looking at his Instagram account, it seems that he is not much active on it as he currently has only three posts however he occasionally shares stories on his account.
Even though he is the ex-husband of one of the renowned American singers, he only has 4,295 followers on his account. However, his company Think Big has a huge following of 13.3k.
