Adam Frederick Goldberg is an American TV and film producer and writer. He is popular for creating famous TV series such as Breaking In, Imaginary Mary, Schooled and his most famous one The Goldberg.

Biography

Adam Goldberg was born to a Jewish family. He was born in the city of Philadelphia and lived near Jenkintown. Adam’s parents are Beverly and Murray Goldberg.

His father is unfortunately dead right now but his mother is still alive. Adam was the youngest of three boys in his family. His brothers are Barry and Eric.

Goldberg was a film maker right from the start. He made his first play in 1992 at the age of 15 and won the Young Playwrights award.

After graduating his high school in 1994, he went on to study film and dramatic writing in New York University.

By the time Adam as 19, he had written over 50 plays which were performed around the country. His plays were funny and they were performed in many theatres in the Philadelphia Area. He also got many awards for his playwriting skills over the years.

Goldberg was also the finalist  for the American’s Critics Association in 1997 and won an award for his play One on One the same year. In addition, he was also awarded by the Institute of Arts and Education at the Annenberg Theater. He won first place in a special arts Playwriting award in Washington D.C.

Goldberg’s first comedy writing job began in 2003. He wrote for the sitcom Still Standing. Later, he worked four more years and finished as co producer on the show.

He also teamed up with Picture Machine and developed a screenplay for Fanboys. They sold the script to The Weinstein Company later.

Goldberg also wrote screenplays for The Jetsons and the remake of Revenge of the Nerds. The movie was cancelled after three weeks though.

Goldberg also spent one year on writing the script for How to train your dragon. Later, he moved on Monsters vs Aliens. Right now, he is adapting a graphic novel Seal Team 7 for director Shawn Levy. Goldberg has also produced many movies like The Comebacks, Daddy Day Camp and more.

Moving on to the TV side, Goldberg wrote pilots for many network shows. He also teamed up with Seth Gordon and created the hit Show named Breaking In for Fox.

The show had a long development cycle but it was finally completed. Before Breaking in, Goldberg wrote shows like Aliens in America, Voltron Force and more.

The year 2011 saw Goldberg sign a 3 year deal with Sony Pictures. This was the time when Goldberg was helping NBC produce new shows. In 2012 he pitched a semi autobiographical show on Fox.

The pitch was later picked up by ABC and thus the show “The Goldbergs” was born. The Goldbergs became a really big hit. It garnered public attention and it was genuinely a funny show. This made Adam F Goldberg pretty famous in America.
